Credentialing
In California school and district administrators (with the exception of superintendents) who supervise certificated employees are required to possess the Administrative Services Credential (ASC). The ASC has two levels: the Preliminary Credential and the Clear Credential. The Clear Credential must be obtained within 5 years of an administrator beginning his or her first assignment in a position requiring an administrative credential.

Coaching and Mentoring
ACSA’s coaching and mentoring programs are unique, career-enhancing services designed to upgrade the skills and knowledge of practicing educational leaders. Coaching, conducted in partnership with the New Teacher Center, is individualized, goal-oriented, structured and rigorous; while mentoring is a volunteer, collaborative support system between mentors and protégés. Both focus on similar end results: to build leadership capacity and improve student achievement.
