Visalia Adult School is delighted to announce that Jazzmyn Williams has been honored with OTAN’s (Outreach and Technical Assistance Network) California Adult Education Student Succeeds ACSA Award for 2024. This accolade recognizes her exceptional perseverance and dedication to earning her high school diploma. Each year, OTAN recognizes Students Succeed honorees who are successful due to the education received at adult education agencies. They inspire and embody a resilient spirit, overcome difficult challenges, contribute within their own communities, and improve their own circumstances. This past school year, Ms. Ginger Allen, a teacher at Visalia Adult School, nominated Ms. Williams and the scorers selected her to represent adult education at the ACSA (Association of California School Administrators) Leadership Conference, November 14, in San Diego. Both Ms. Williams and Ms. Allen will travel to the Every Student Succeeding Awards Ceremony where Jazzmyn will be highlighted with a video and award. Her story and an OTAN video is housed on the OTAN website https://www.adultedlearners.org/Students/Student/366 so others can be inspired to continue their education.
