A message from Danny Arellano
President, ACSA Region 11

Esteemed colleagues,

Welcome to an exciting new academic year at Region XI! With great humility and enthusiasm, I am honored to serve as your Region XI President and look forward to an exceptional school year.

In the 24-25 school year, Region XI is committed to supporting one another in addressing the academic and socio-emotional needs of our staff and students, guided by the principle that “Iron Sharpens Iron.” To this end, we have formulated annual objectives focusing on professional development, membership, and advocacy.

As I look ahead, I can’t help but look back to our summer retreat and the amazing work that was done collectively to chart the course for this year.

Looking forward, I urge each of you to consider the four essential attributes of effective leadership
(The Four R’s): relational, resourceful, reflective, and willing to take calculated risks.

    • Be Relational: Foster connections with parents, families, students, staff, and other administrators.
    • Be Resourceful: Forge a robust support network and seek advice when needed.
    • Be Reflective: Ponder daily tasks, evaluate what has been successful, and identify areas for improvement.
    • Be a Risk-taker: Embrace innovation and boldly explore new approaches.

My involvement at both the charter and regional levels has prepared me for the role of Region XI President. It has been a remarkable journey of learning and growth alongside many of you. I extend my sincere gratitude for the work you do each day for your school communities. In addition, I encourage each of you to stay engaged and involved in ACSA while at the same time encouraging others to get involved.
