On Friday, May 17, 2024, the San Joaquin County Charter of the Association of California School Administrators (ACSA) celebrated their End of the Year event at Valley Brewer in Stockton, CA. Under the leadership of ACSA San Joaquin County President Jeremy Brooks, the event garnered substantial attendance, with 50-60 guests participating. The planning was expertly handled by Nelarie Romo, Vice President of Programs. Highlighting the event was Dr. Troy Brown, San Joaquin County Superintendent of Schools, who graced the occasion as the featured guest speaker.
A special moment of the evening came as several retired school administrators were honored for their exemplary service. President Brooks and San Joaquin County Associate Superintendent and ACSA board member Jane Chamberlain had the privilege of presenting the Legacy Educator Impact Award, recognizing those who have profoundly influenced their educational communities and ACSA through a steadfast dedication to enhancing education. “This prestigious accolade honors exceptional individuals who have dedicated their careers and retirement to educational excellence and left a lasting legacy in their communities,” said President Brooks.
The esteemed recipients of this award included Dr. Sandee Kludt, Pam Knapp, Mary Ann Sanders, Susan Sanders, Steve Souza, and Dr. Sylvia Ulmer, all celebrated for their influential roles in shaping educational programs, continuing to impact schools in their local communities, and mentoring fellow educators. Their invaluable contributions have fortified ACSA’s commitment to excellence, collaboration, and ongoing enhancement.
