Opportunity to Join a Google for Education Leadership Circle this Month

The ELP Leader Community is designed to connect instructionally-focused senior education leaders by fostering learning, facilitating collaboration, providing peer-to-peer sharing, and celebrating successes through local Leadership Circles and online through the global ELP Leader Community space.

I was recently selected to be a Leadership Circle Facilitator, and my first session will be held on Friday, August 29 at 1:00 PM PDT, is titled “Digital Literacy in a Post-AI and Covid World” and will have a special guest for part of the Circle, Dr. Jessica Iovinelli, Assistant Superintendent of Innovation & Information at Addison School District 4.

Digital literacy is essential for future-ready schools, enabling students and staff to think critically, use technology responsibly, and engage ethically online.  While generative AI is powerful, it does not replace the need for foundational digital skills or digital citizenship. In today’s post-pandemic and AI-driven world, digital literacy has become a core pillar of effective teaching, learning, and leadership. This Circle will explore sustainable strategies for implementation and help leaders communicate its importance as a system-wide equity and innovation priority and not just another tech initiative.

If you are interested in joining our Circle, please click here to log into the ELP Hub and register to attend this quarterly event. If you have not joined the ELP Hub, please create an account and complete the registration form (which will be your profile). Select “Ed Leadership Program Hub” and the “Leader Community.” Once complete, you will be able to select this Circle and register for the event. Additional information and login details will arrive a couple days before the Circle.

If you feel you have site or department leaders who would benefit from having access to an additional collaborative opportunity with solutions-oriented goals, please forward this on to them.  If you would like to learn more about the Circle or have suggestions on future topics, please let me know and I can plan accordingly.  Thank you in advance.
