Region 7 held its first General Membership Assembly (GMA) for the year at the Golf Club of Copper Valley in Copperopolis. Guest speaker was Lee Angela Reid, Partner and Senior Legislative Advocate from Capitol Advisors Group. LLC. Ms. Reid provided an update on various legislative items that effect K-12 education, including bills that are waiting for the Governor’s approval. Region President Deborah Rowe talked about the recent State ACSA Leadership Assembly; Past President Jose Aldaco talked about region officer nominations; Scott Nanik gave a State ACSA Board report; and the various region committee and council representatives gave highlights from their state meetings. Charter presidents also updated members on what is happening in their charters.
