On August 26th, the ACSA Stanislaus Charter held its Annual Kick-Off event at the Martin Petersen Event Center in Modesto. Hosted by Charter President Adriana Corona-Duran and her Cabinet, the event brought administrators together to network with colleagues and celebrate the start of a promising new school year.
The highlight of the evening was the keynote address by ACSA President-Elect Dr. Daryl Camp, who shared his inspiring journey in education. Dr. Camp emphasized the importance of administrator wellness, a priority for ACSA President Rafael Plascencia. His message resonated with the audience, reminding everyone of the critical need for self-care in leadership.
Bob Lee and Jennifer Backman also spoke during the event, providing valuable insights into ACSA membership and its benefits. Their presentation reinforced the importance of being an active part of the ACSA community.
A special feature of the evening was the annual contest to recognize the districts with the highest attendance. Trophies were awarded in three categories:
  • Large School District: Ceres Unified School District
  • Medium School District: Waterford Unified School District
  • Small School District: Hughson Unified School District
In addition to the presentations and awards, attendees enjoyed raffle prizes and refreshments, making the event both engaging and enjoyable.
A special thank you to Steve Fisher from Horace Mann for sponsoring the event and to Alex Shoob from Shoob Photography for providing bookmarks with charter meeting dates for administrators.
As the new school year kicks off, the ACSA Stanislaus Charter looks forward to another year of strong collaboration and support among educational leaders.
