On August 23rd, the ACSA San Joaquin Charter hosted its Annual Kick-Off event, gathering school administrators from across the county to celebrate the start of the new school year. The event, held in a spirit of camaraderie and shared purpose, featured two distinguished guest speakers: Bob Lee, State ACSA Membership Recruiter for Region 7, and Dr. Daryl Camp, State ACSA President-Elect and Superintendent of the San Lorenzo Unified School District.
Bob Lee addressed the audience with an insightful discussion on membership, emphasizing the importance of collective goals and shared responsibilities within the association. He highlighted the critical role that ACSA plays in supporting administrators through networking, professional development, and advocacy.
Dr. Daryl Camp followed with an inspiring narrative about his personal journey in educational leadership. He also shed light on the key priorities set by State ACSA President Rafael Plascencia for the upcoming year. At the forefront of these priorities is the personal wellness of administrators, a vital focus in light of the increasing pressures and challenges faced by educational leaders today.
“Mr. Plascencia is deeply committed to ensuring that the well-being of administrators is not overlooked,” Dr. Camp emphasized. “The demands on our school leaders have never been greater, and it is essential that we prioritize their health and wellness.”
The event concluded on a high note, as administrators from across the county came together to celebrate their collective achievements and the promise of the new school year. The Kick-Off served as a reminder of the strength and unity within the educational community, setting a positive tone for the months ahead.
