ACSA Region 7 kicked off the school year in style with a highly successful General Membership Assembly (GMA) at Chicken Ranch Casino Resort in Jamestown! Once again, the event drew one of our largest turnouts, bringing together educational leaders from across the region for an engaging morning of connection, collaboration, and important updates.
We were honored to welcome State ACSA President Dr. Rene Rickard as our special guest speaker. Region 7 President Dr. Ben Howell presided over his first GMA at the helm, setting an enthusiastic tone for the year ahead. The assembly also celebrated the swearing-in of Lucia Hernandez as our new Region Vice President of Legislative Action.
Attendees received important updates on legislative activity in Sacramento, heard reports from region council and committee representatives and charter presidents, and learned about exciting upcoming events and professional development opportunities throughout Region 7.
A special thank-you to our generous sponsors, Parallel Learning and Effective School Solutions, for their support and partnership. As a token of appreciation, Dr. Howell presented Dr. Rickard with a Region 7 shirt—a little reminder that she is always welcome in our region!
With outstanding attendance, meaningful updates, and wonderful fellowship, our GMA was a tremendous success and a fantastic way to launch another exciting school year. Region 7 is ready for a great year of leadership, learning, and connection!
