ACSA Region 8 Women’s Leadership Network Focuses on Radical Self-Care for Leaders

ACSA Region 8’s Women’s Leadership Network recently hosted an inspiring and reflective session titled “Radical Self-Care for Leaders: A C.A.R.E. Framework for Women Leading in Education,” presented by Nicole Steward, MSW.

The session created space for educational leaders to pause, reflect, and engage in meaningful conversations about the importance of self-care in leadership. Participants explored the C.A.R.E. framework and discussed practical strategies to support personal wellness while continuing to lead schools and organizations with purpose, compassion, and resilience.

Women in educational leadership often balance immense responsibilities while supporting students, staff, families, and communities. This presentation served as a powerful reminder that sustainable leadership begins with caring for ourselves as intentionally as we care for others.

The event also provided an opportunity for leaders across Region 8 to connect, share experiences, and strengthen their leadership community in a supportive and empowering environment.

Thank you to Nicole Steward for facilitating such a meaningful conversation and to all the leaders who continue to show up for their communities while prioritizing growth, wellness, and authentic leadership.
