Dear Region 4 Leg Action Day Participants,

The room block at the Sheraton is now open. Reservations can be made online using the instructions from the hotel below. As a reminder, state ACSA will not reimburse Region delegates for this event.

HOTEL REGISTRATION FOR LEGISLATIVE ACTION DAY (APRIL 2-3, 2017) :

Guests can access the site to learn more about the event and to book,
 modify, or cancel a reservation from now until March 9, 2017. Any rooms needed after the deadline must be reserved at Sheraton’s full room price outside of the room block.

Seeking 2016 Friend of Public Education Award Nominations

It’s time for ACSA to begin collecting nominations for the 2016 Friend of Public Education Award. As you know, we typically present this award during our Legislative Action Day event. The 2016 event is scheduled for April 3-4, 2016.

The Friend of Education Award recognizes state and federal level, elected or appointed officials who demonstrate leadership on behalf of public education through legislative contributions, political efforts or a significant commitment. Nominations are collected electronically.

Please submit your nominations by January 31, 2016. The results will be forwarded to the Vice Presidents for Legislative Action for review and then forwarded to the ACSA Board for approval.
