ACSA Region 9 is proud to serve school administrators in the Central California counties of Fresno, Madera, Mariposa<\/strong> and Merced<\/strong>. Our website offers region events calendar, news and updates, officer and state representative contact information, charter boards, bylaws and policies and ways to recognize outstanding colleagues and students who have overcome all odds.<\/p>\n

ACSA Region 9 Leadership Retreat<\/strong><\/p>\n

We are so grateful to our 2026-2027 Executive Board Members, Charter Presidents, Past Presidents, and Presidents Elect, and Region 9 Committee and Council Representatives that attended our Leadership Retreat and Annual Planning in Merced, CA on June 15 & 15, 2026! It was a great time to learn about ACSA, our region and the accomplishments of this past year. \u00a0We also began planning for the year ahead as we started building strong relationships to support our leadership this coming year. \u00a0We got to experience some of the best that Merced has to offer\u2026meeting at the Merced City School District Operations Center, lodging at El Capitan Hotel, dinner at the Rainbird, catering by the Bar-B-Que Pit, photography by Rojas Photography, annual planning at the Merced County Office of Education Downtown Professional Development Center and Professional Development provided by Laine Whitaker, and sponsored by Effective School Solutions. This was a powerful 24 hours that we experienced, and we are looking forward to the year ahead!<\/div>\n

\nSpecial thanks to Eryn Wike of Effective School Solutions for her generous support of our Annual Retreat. \u00a0ESS partners with California school districts to provide a full continuum of mental health support \u2014 from universal Tier 1 prevention through their Behavioral Education Framework, to intensive in-district therapeutic programs as an alternative to NPS placements. And they help districts fund it all through Medi-Cal and CYBHI. We were grateful to have them with us. \u00a0Laine Whitaker provided such a valuable professional\u00a0development session that poured back into our leaders who give so much of themselves in their day to day work.\u00a0Our leaders left inspired and refreshed with the joy that she prompted us to discover within the recesses of our being. We were reminded of the curiosity that we have about others and the world around us and were able to practice a few \u201creset\u201d options that invigorated us and put smiles on our faces.
