ACSA Region 7 believes in supporting its members and students by providing several opportunities to earn scholarships. The Scholarship Committee consists of the Region 7 President-Elect and President\u2013Elects from each charter.\u00a0<\/strong>Persons serving on the committee whose child has applied for a scholarship must abstain from voting. <\/strong>Scholarships will be awarded as follows:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Alex Winchester\/Sue Richards Scholarship<\/a><\/h4>\n

Objective<\/b>: Promote and encourage professional growth of ACSA members
\nFor<\/b>: Region 7 State ACSA Members\/Professional Development
\nAmount<\/b>: $500.00 each (1 for Academy, 1 for Personnel Institute, 1 for State Summit, 1 for Every Child Counts Symposium, 1 for CEL Institute, 1 for Region Spring Conference).
\nDue<\/b>: Personnel Institute due: September 5, 2025; Academy due: September 5, 2025; State Leadership Summit due: October 10, 2025; Every Child Counts Symposium due: December 12, 2025; CEL Institute due: January 16, 2026;\u00a0 Region Spring Conference due: March 31, 2026.<\/p>\n

You must be a State ACSA member to be eligible for these scholarships.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ken Brown\/Francine Gasper Scholarship<\/a><\/h4>\n

Objective<\/b>: Assist children of ACSA members to pursue post high school endeavors
\nFor<\/b>: Post high school educational endeavors for children of Region 7 State ACSA Members
\nAmount<\/b>: $1,000.00 each (4 awarded per year)
\nDue<\/b>:\u00a0 March 5, 2027
\nApplication<\/b>: \u00a0Must include – 2 letters of recommendation, essay, transcripts.<\/p>\n

Parent must be a State ACSA member to be eligible for this scholarship.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Nomination Form<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n

Jane Johnston Every Student Succeeding Award<\/a><\/u><\/b><\/h4>\n

Objective<\/b>: To honor students who have succeeded against all odds
\nFor<\/b>: One nominated student from each charter
\nAmount<\/b>: One awardee from the Region will receive $1,000.00 for education
\nDue<\/b>: \u00a0March 1, 2026.\u00a0 \u00a0Charter nominees are due to Dr. Ben Howell,\u00a0 Feb. 2-6, 2026, on State ACSA nomination form.\u00a0 \u00a0Selection committee will make a decision on the Region ESS student and send form to State ACSA by March 1, 2026.
\nApplication<\/b>: \u00a0One student will be selected to be honored at the State ACSA Conference representing Region 7. The application must be submitted on the State ACSA Every Student Succeeding nomination form<\/a><\/b>.<\/b><\/p>\n

Region 7 2025 ESS Student Announced<\/h3>\n

Each year our Region selects one ESS student from among the charter ESS students to represent Region 7 at the State ACSA Leadership Summit in November.\u00a0 Congratulations to Zoe Blansett<\/strong>\u00a0for being named the 2025 Region 7 ESS Student.<\/strong>\u00a0 \u00a0 Zoe is an 12th grade student at Amador High School in the Amador County Unified School District.\u00a0 Zoe received a $1,000 scholarship from Region 7 at their General Membership Assembly in April.<\/p>\n
