{"id":1112,"date":"2020-07-14T04:52:20","date_gmt":"2020-07-14T04:52:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/regions.acsa.org\/3\/?page_id=1112"},"modified":"2025-07-31T21:05:48","modified_gmt":"2025-07-31T21:05:48","slug":"our-goals","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/regions.acsa.org\/3\/about\/our-goals\/","title":{"rendered":"Our Goals"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The general purposes of ACSA, Region 3 are to promote the advancement of a an equitable, quality education for all students and to promote and support the Mission of State ACSA, which is:<\/p>\n<p><strong>ACSA Mission Statement<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Association of California School Administrators is the driving force for an equitable, world-class education system, and the development and support of inspired educational leaders who meet the diverse needs of all California students.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">The Region\u2019s Goals\/Objectives for 2025-2026 School Year:<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>GOAL 1: To be a dynamic professional community of educational leaders who collaborate and contribute their experience and expertise to support each other\u2019s professional growth.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Objective A: Region 3 membership will increase by at least 100 members by April 30, 2026<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Actions: <\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Each charter develop a realistic membership growth goal<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Metrics:<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\">Data from collected from charter &amp; state<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: square\">\n<li><b>Objective B. Provide meaningful experiences that increase new membership and engagement for all members<\/b><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Actions:\u00a0<\/span>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: square\">\n<li>VP Membership to connect personally (meeting) with each charter\u2019s Membership person.<\/li>\n<li>Create 2 Meet-ups, 1 sponsored, 1 unsponsored (free or people pay their own way)\u00a0 &amp; Identify service opportunities for meetups<\/li>\n<li>Create communications plan for impending retiree<\/li>\n<li>Additional Classified Member for Each charter<\/li>\n<li>Create job-alike networks of support<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Metrics: <\/span>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: square\">\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Attendance at said events, increase of membership, social media analytics, engagement feedback through tools such as google forms.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><em>GOAL 2: To be a leader, credible voice, and trusted partner in addressing the issues impacting the diverse needs of students and the administrators that support them.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Objective A:<\/b> <b>Raise awareness of local and state educational issues<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Actions: Encourage each Chapter to elect\/designate a VP of Legislative Action<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Metrics: Attendance at -Leg Action Days, Meetings with legislators in their district offices, Meetings\/tours for legislators at local schools and districts; Meetings with\u00a0 ACSA advocates to discuss local issues\/priorities, Invitations for\u00a0 legislators to present at\/attend\u00a0 R3 trainings and events<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: square\">\n<li><b>Objective B: Provide opportunities that promote equitable practices<\/b><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Actions:<\/span><\/span>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: square\">\n<li>Create a \u201chow to\u201d for the VPLAs:\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>Have each Charter VP of Leg Action connect with their legislator.<\/li>\n<li>Attend events sponsored by legislator<\/li>\n<li>Encourage legislators to visit school sites.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Host a VPLA meeting bi-monthly meeting<\/li>\n<li>Increase social engagement via social media<\/li>\n<li>Create Safe spaces for Leaders of various backgrounds to share in their journey &amp; challenges\n<ul>\n<li>Diversity &amp; Belonging<\/li>\n<li>Women\u2019s Leadership<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Metrics Demographic information from sign in sheets (charter representation, gender, ethnicity, age range, years in education)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em><strong>Goal 3: To enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of ACSA Region 3 by optimizing its organizational structure, systems, and resource allocation to ensure regional sustainability and actively engaged members.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: square\">\n<li>Actions:\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: square\">\n<li>Recruit and retain members for Regional and Charter leadership.
