On every school day throughout California, dedicated educators and courageous students overcome tremendous obstacles to reach that goal. Their success is our success; their powerful stories are our inspiration.<\/p>\n<p>ACSA\u2019s Every Student Succeeding program honors students who exceed our expectations. We are proud to highlight these young men and women who have overcome great obstacles to succeed. They face life\u2019s challenges head on. Their stories are remarkable and their futures are bright.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Purpose:<\/strong> The purpose of this award is to honor students at all grade levels who have succeeded, against all odds, beyond expectations or simply won the hearts of the administrators and other educators who helped them achieve their goals. One student from each region will be honored.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Eligibility:<\/strong> The success of these students should be tied to the work of ACSA administrators. We know that other educators will also have made significant contributions to their support, including board members, teachers, guardians, community members, etc.<\/p>\n<p>Nominees should be students who have made a special effort to succeed and have overcome obstacles such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"placeholder-tinymce-text\">Returning to school<\/li>\n<li class=\"placeholder-tinymce-text\">Leaving a gang<\/li>\n<li class=\"placeholder-tinymce-text\">Improving their attendance<\/li>\n<li class=\"placeholder-tinymce-text\">Changing their attitude<\/li>\n<li class=\"placeholder-tinymce-text\">Overcoming physical and mental barriers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"placeholder-tinymce-text\">\n<p>They should also be active in:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"placeholder-tinymce-text\">After school programs<\/li>\n<li class=\"placeholder-tinymce-text\">Community service<\/li>\n<li class=\"placeholder-tinymce-text\">Student conflict resolution<\/li>\n<li class=\"placeholder-tinymce-text\">Cross-age tutoring<\/li>\n<li class=\"placeholder-tinymce-text\">Peer mediation<\/li>\n<li class=\"placeholder-tinymce-text\">Peer tutoring<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"placeholder-tinymce-text\">\n<p>Nominees can come from programs such as:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"placeholder-tinymce-text\">Alternative Education<\/li>\n<li class=\"placeholder-tinymce-text\">At-risk<\/li>\n<li class=\"placeholder-tinymce-text\">Bilingual<\/li>\n<li class=\"placeholder-tinymce-text\">Continuation School<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"placeholder-tinymce-text\" style=\"text-align: left\">\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><strong>Nomination Process:<\/strong> Nominations for 2025-26 Region 14 have closed.<\/p>\n<p>One student from our region will advance to the State ACSA and we will assist in writing the State nomination material.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"placeholder-tinymce-text\">\n<p><strong>Deadline to Submit Nomination:<\/strong> <strong>October 10, 2025<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"placeholder-tinymce-text\"><strong>Recognition:<\/strong> Students will be recognized at a <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/11utIAmfnSaHvlpByrONx3l0Mycxvakl41buWai_yKjg\/preview\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Region 14 event on December 2, 2025<\/a> and ACSA\u2019s annual <a href=\"http:\/\/www.acsa.org\/Educational-Services\/Conferences\/leadership-summit\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Leadership Summit<\/a> in November 2026.<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The mission of ACSA is to ensure that all students have the essential skills and knowledge needed to excel.
