ACSA’s effectiveness in shaping education policy lies in its grassroots strength. To that end, ACSA is structured with issue-focused committees and job-alike councils made up of education leaders.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Committee\/council work serves two purposes within ACSA: expertise and networking. The two functions involve responding to issues in two ways. Committees\/councils respond to and develop activities and resources related to board adopted issues and ACSA\u2019s mission and vision, and they also act on issues specific to and identified by the committee\/council itself.<\/div>\n
Region XI has openings on two councils and one committee for next year:<\/div>\n
\u2022 Council of Equity Leaders<\/div>\n
\u2022 Council of Retired Leaders<\/div>\n
\u2022 Council of Small School District Leaders<\/div>\n
\u2022 Legislative Policy Committee<\/div>\n
