Mini-Grants for ACSA Members

Region 6 offers five $1,000 mini-grants each year to support educational programs or materials that can improve student learning.
DEADLINE: February 24, 2017 (THIS FRIDAY!)

Student Scholarships

Region 6 offers ten $1,000 scholarships to eligible students in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties. Students must be a child, grandchild, niece or nephew of a Region 6 ACSA Member. These scholarships are for graduating high school seniors and college graduates seeking post graduate degrees or credentials.

All Kids Are Our Kids: A Post-Election Toolkit for Educators

As school communities continue to deal with some of the polarizing issues of the 2016 presidential election and upcoming inauguration, teachers and school/district administrators are faced with situations they are not accustomed to dealing with. From impromptu student walk-outs and organized demonstrations on campus, to student fears of family deportation and incidents of hate speech and graffiti, many campuses throughout our county and across the state and nation are experiencing increased tension among students and adults.

Beginning this month we will utilize Constant Contact, a popular online marketing email tool. We are confident that by using this tool, we will be able to deliver the newsletter, as well as important news flashes, to our members in a more efficient manner.
