Region 12 Developing Strategic Plan to Complement State ACSA Strategies and Policies

March 25, 2017  |   Comments Off on Region 12 Developing Strategic Plan to Complement State ACSA Strategies and Policies

State ACSA embarked on the Strategic Planning process in 2012. A Strategic Planning team developed a draft plan, which was approved by the Board of Directors the following year. The final Strategic Plan contains a new mission statement as well as nine strategies for success, and within each strategy are distinct action plans. The work of Phase 1, which began in 2013 and ended in June of 2015, went far beyond the scope of the initial action plans. This work is outlined in the Phase 1 Implementation Summary. We have now embarked on Phase 2, continuing our work in several key issue areas: education advocacy; learning experiences and professional development; alliances and networks; communications, marketing and branding; technology; and governance and finance.

The above statements is taken directly from the State ACSA website. You can see the actual plan at this link:

Of course, for the state plan to be successful, individual regions must do their part to support it. One way is the development of smaller-scale strategic plans at the region level. Your region, working with the Leadership Assembly and under the direction of President Kim Cavanagh, has a start. You can see our plan here:

March 25, 2017  |   Comments Off on 2016-2017 Administrator of the Year/Spring Celebration Dinner Event is April 20! Ticket Info Here.

Each year, every region in State ACSA holds an annual search for “administrators of the year” in various categories and also selects an Every Student Succeeding” student.  The latter recipient receives a scholarship and is also feted at the awards dinner event. He/she is also recognized at the State level at the following year’s Leadership Summit. Region 12 will be holding its annual Administrator of the Year/Spring Celebration dinner event at the Hilton by DoubleTree Hotel in San Bernardino on the evening of April 20, 2017 this year. Emails have been sent to all registered ACSA Region 12 members with a link to purchase tickets. If you missed it, here it is again:

Charter Activity/Design Project Procedures and Forms

November 20, 2016  |   Comments Off on Charter Activity/Design Project Procedures and Forms

ACSA Region 12 budgets limited funds each year to assist charters wishing to hold special events that may be normally beyond their budget capacity. These “grants” are typically in the $250-300 range. Although the due date for proposals is typically November of each year, proposals may be considered beyond that date if funds still remain in that category of the region budget.

Forms have been revised this year and are now fillable PDFs. We recommend that you ensure you have the latest version of free Adobe Reader, or any version of Adobe Acrobat Pro, for these fillable PDF forms  to function correctly. Download the forms to your desktop, and then open in an actual Adobe program for full functionality. They may not work correctly if opened and used in a web browser (which uses a PDF emulation program only).

Use the  link below to download the form and follow the instructions in red above for best results. The form contains all instructions and guidelines. Note that region funds may NOT be used for food or beverages, so we recommend that charter or other outside funds cover that expense first.
