Regions 12 & XIX Joint Leadership Conference, Palm Springs, June 1-2, 2019

Leaders of region boards and their respective charters once again attended the yearly Leadership Conference in Palm Springs at the end of the academic year. This event provides information about how ACSA works at the state, region and charter levels, acquaints us with each other, and provides ACSA role-specific training in the hows, wheres and whys of what we do. We also often feature guest speakers and attendees at the state level, which adds even more credence to our mission. Incoming State ACSA President Dr. Linda Kaminski installed new region officers, and the county superintendents of San Bernardino and Riverside Counties respectively shared their thoughts in a general session. Plenty of time was allotted for social events and camaraderie to facilitate getting to know each other. We also heard motivational speaker Mike Robbins, author of the books “Focus on the Good Stuff” and “Bring Your Whole Self to Work.” The latter hardcover book was gifted to each and every attendee for their summer reading pleasure! The first day ended with a Casino Night in the hotel,¬†gambling with mock currency.
