ACSA Storms the Bastille Once Again at Legislative Action Day 2019

posted in: Bill's Blog | 0

Representatives from ACSA regions throughout the state once again headed to Sacramento and the Capitol building to present their views on key educational issues to the lawmakers. This event was extremely well-attended by all regions, including our own, with region board members and charter VPs of Legislative Action representing the bulk of movers and shakers stalking the hallways and offices of our representatives. Our own region contingent met with legislators and/or their aides from our area as follows:

Assemblymember Jay Obernolte

Assemblymember James C. Ramos

Senator Mike Morrell

Assemblymember Chad Mayes

Assemblymember Freddie Rodriguez

Assemblymember Eloise Gomez Reyes

Senator Connie Leyva

This two-day event from Sunday April 7 through Monday April 8 also included speakers on various legislative topics, a State ACSA “Friend of Education” award given to Assemblymember Patrick O’Donnell (D-Long Beach), and other informative sessions.
